ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGG.

Program Details

ELECTRONINCS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

Vision

The aim of the department is to provide best learning environment equipped with latest resources to develop electronics and communication engineers with sound theoretical and practical concepts having a research inclination to serve in the benefit of humankind.

 Mission

To develop ICT enabled classrooms to improve learning outcomes of the engineering graduates.
• To Equipment laboratories with the latest technology to help students to understand fundamental as well as complex electronics phenomena in the best possible way.
• To Enhance library and laboratory resources to encourage students to pursue research work and take up challenging problems from industry.

 Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

• Graduates should capable for the post-graduate courses, research, successful carrier in industry and self-entrepreneur in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Graduates should continuously update his/her knowledge from the readily available resources such as Internet, Hand-onbooks, research papers, technical journals, etc.
• Graduates should be able to suggest modifications in existing electronic systems of his/her expertise for the benefit of humankind.
• Graduates should be able to guide his/her subordinates technically as well as non-technically to complete the assigned task within specified time frame.
• Graduates should be able to work independently on a project or as a team leader.

Labs

A digital storage oscilloscope is an oscilloscope which stores and analyses the signal digitally rather than using analogue techniques. It is now the most common type of oscilloscope in use because of the advanced trigger, storage, display and measurement features which it typically provides.
A function generator is usually a piece of electronic test equipment or software used to generate different types of electrical waveforms over a wide range of frequencies. Some of the most common waveforms produced by the function generator are the sine, square, triangular and sawtooth shapes.
An oscilloscope, previously called an oscillo graph, and informally known as a scope, CRO (for cathode-ray oscilloscope), or DSO (for the more modern digital storage oscilloscope), is a type of electronic test instrument that allows observation of constantly varying signal voltages, usually as a two-dimensional plot of one or more signals as a function of time. Other signals (such as sound or vibration) can be converted to voltages and displayed.
